On today’s show – A prominent mental health psychiatrist resigned from the NCAA after the President’s executive order prompted the collegiate association to change its trans-inclusion policy. The physician says the NCAA’s decision is not based on “science” or at least his version of science. Speaking of which, the scientific community’s faulty diagnostic guidelines have made technological advancements in diagnostic tools for mental health stagnant or non-existent.
I’ll dig into the DSM-5, the Bible for mental health, and its deceptive definition of gender dysphoria. The fact that psychiatrists are taught to affirm a child’s confusion about his or her gender and ignore diagnosing the root cause of their anxiety and depression is criminal. Diagnostics for mental health have been a problem for decades — even diagnostics for depression and other forms of mental disorder. Sadly, many tech investors have focused more on treatments than improving poor diagnostic tools.
Also on the show, judges are trying to stop the federal government from cutting back spending. A federal judge halted the National Institutes of Health’s plans to slash its budget. The NIH has an annual budget of around $47 billion and it’s given out hundreds of grants to gender ideology research.
